The Executive Officers for AHYA

emelia farago
youth president

Disciplines: Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, and Horsemanship

I have been riding Arabain horses at LeFever Training Center since I was 6 years old. I currently own 2 Arabian horses, Gunner and Maverick, who I have shown in the western divisions. I go to school at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls which is luckily very close to home and my horses. Outside of horses I enjoy running and going on outdoor adventures.

Disciplines: Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Country English Pleasure, Halter, Reining, and Reining Seat Eq

I love showing horses and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am blessed to have a loving family that encourages me in everything I do. I couldn't be more thankful for such an amazing horse community and supportive barn that pushes me to do my best in and out of the show ring. One of my favorite things to do is work with other youth members to come up with new and unique ways to help better our Region 9 Youth Programs.

Disciplines: Purebred and Half Arabian Western Pleasure

I have been riding since I was 5 years old. Horses have taught me perseverance, confidence, and teamwork. The teamwork I learned carried to learning to use my service dog, Sunny, who helps me walk. That introduced me to my second passion, Pawsitive Pawsibilities. I enjoy working with my animals, meeting people across the country, and helping educate people about the benefit of horses and dogs.

Disciplines: Local 4-H, Local Arabian Shows, Regionals, and Nationals

I show three Arabian horses at the open, local, 4-H. regional, and national level. I enjoy teaching others to ride and find their love for horses (especially Arabians). I also enjoy promoting the Arabian breed by showing at open and 4-H shows, displaying the Arabians versatility and willingness to please. I am really excited to be the Region 10 Youth Director and a member of AHYA!

I've shown horses since I was 7 years old. Besides riding, my passions are writing and playing music. I want to be a high school history teacher, and continue riding my whole life. I'm looking forward to serving on the AHYA Executive Board this year!

Youth Committees

2017 - 2018 Youth Committees

The youth committees consist of youth members who are interested in a particular area of the Arabian horse industry. Any youth member can sign up to be on a youth committee. Committee members, whose energy and activity provide the leadership and direction to promote the Arabian horse and youth program, help to shape the youth association. If you would like to be a part of one of these committees, please email youth@arabianhorses.org.
