I've been fortunate enough to try my hand at many different disciplines over more than 60 years in the saddle, and to have a solid handful of horses who excelled at most or all of them. Hunting is probably my favorite, and has been the backbone of my riding time over the past 40 years. The horse in the photo is Naiad (barn name Shadow) who did plenty to get us to this milestone.
